DAY 1: SAI GON - CU CHI - MEKONG DELTA (L, D)

7:00 am minivan and guide will pick you up at your hotel to explore the incredible tunnels

The tour itself is a great choice for those who would like to experience about the Vietnamese War to get to know more the hardest times of local people with their strongest spirit who lived underground to fight for their peace and independence. And exploring how local people are surviving the war by getting more and more developments but still keeping their traditional living style. The travel distance from Saigon downtown to Cu Chi tunnels is 85km which takes you almost 1 and half hour drive to reach there. Please note that your travel time might take longer time as traffic jam is the most command issue in Saigon.

8:30 am time to experience and learn what made the human spirit strongest ever

The tunnels were used as hiding spots during combat, as well as serving as communication and supply routes, hospitals, food and weapon. Learn more about the courage & ingenuity of the inhabitants of the Cu Chi tunnels. Get a great insight into the tenacity and resourcefulness of Vietnamese people. Please do not surprise when you suddenly hear the gun shooting sounds in the middle of Cu Chi Tunnels as there is gun shooting sport next to your position. you can stop to experience, otherwise you can skip it to continue your exploration. After up and down into these incredible tunnels system underground, you will then depart for Mekong Delta. At 11:30 you will stop at local beautiful restaurant to have lunch with typical dishes cooked in traditional way of Mekong Delta region.

1:00 pm Depart for Can Tho to immerse yourself into natural environment

Minivan drives straight to Can Tho City. You will arrive in a real local garden to experience in the village with non-tourist in a peaceful, quiet area. If we still have enough time and the weather is good, then you have great optional choice for the activity: Kayaking or biking:

1. you can do a Kayaking activity to weave into the Mekong River 

2. you can take the lovely bicycle to cycle around the village to explore the authentic rural life by seeing local farmer are doing their farming jobs on the rice field, in the fruit garden and collecting their fishes in the rice from the fishing net. (Please note that as we have mentioned, the kayaking and cycling activity is our offer just in case you still have time, because we will take the long drive from Cu Chi to Mekong Delta as listed in the itinerary).

DAY 2: CAN THO RIVER TOUR - SAI GON (B, L)

5:00 am Ready for exploring the authentic Cai Rang floating market

5:30 am, our professional guide will pick you up at your hotel in Can Tho downtown.

You will then go to the pier, and embark on the boat to visit the Authentic Cai Rang floating market. The travel distance is 7km by river system, and the time depends on the tide of the river, the boat trip might be a little shorter or longer.

As you arrive, you will be astonished by the amount of boats sailing around and trading a variety of products. You wonder how such a trading spot can survive in a developing city as Can Tho? 9:30 am, time to go back downtown!

Back on the boat, it’s already time to go back downtown… But on the way, you will still experience the charm and beauty of Mekong Delta by sailing along small, green and shady waterways.

Finally, you will be taken back Can Tho downtown by our boat and finish your wonderful river tour around 10.00 am with lots of unforgettable memories!

11:00 am end your tour and get back to Saigon downtown

Minivan picks you up at the Hieutour Co., Ltd office to depart for Saigon downtown.The travel distance is 180km from Can Tho city to Saigon downtown what takes you 3 and half hour drive. The tour is deeply and truly brings you the real experience in Mekong Delta with a great story to tell your family and friends about what you have experienced for unforgettable memories.Drop off at hotel at around 3:00 pm depending on traffic.
