Day 1: Welcome to Hanoi – Capital City Tour
Upon arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our tour guide and transferred to the city center. Along the way, enjoy an introduction to Hanoi – a city of ancient heritage, colonial charm, and modern energy.
Lunch is served at a local restaurant, featuring Hanoi’s signature dish – traditional beef pho.
In the afternoon, begin your cultural exploration:
- Visit the Temple of Literature – Vietnam’s first national university and a symbol of scholarly tradition.
- Stroll around the scenic Hoan Kiem Lake and admire the iconic Ngoc Son Temple.
- Optional: Take a cyclo ride through Hanoi’s Old Quarter, where narrow streets are lined with age-old houses, street food stalls, and unique artisan shops.
Check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, feel free to discover the vibrant nightlife around Hoan Kiem Lake, try the famous egg coffee, or enjoy a walk along the pedestrian streets.
Day 2: Hanoi to Sapa – Discover Cat Cat Village
After breakfast, depart for Sapa by premium limousine bus or sleeper coach. As the road climbs into the Northwest Highlands, they enjoy changing landscapes from flat fields to terraced mountain ranges.
Upon arrival in Sapa, enjoy a traditional lunch with local dishes such as grilled stream fish, smoked pork, and mountain vegetables.
In the afternoon, trek to Cat Cat Village – a picturesque hamlet of the Black H’Mong people nestled at the foot of Fansipan Mountain.
- Discover traditional wooden houses and observe daily life of the locals.
- Watch local artisans weave, dye, and embroider handmade textiles.
- Take scenic photos of waterfalls and the rustic charm of the surrounding rice terraces.
Return to Sapa town. The evening is yours to explore and enjoy street food, grilled dishes, and local specialties, or sip herbal wine made from forest fruits.
Day 3: Conquer Fansipan Peak – Return to Hanoi
After breakfast, transfer to the Fansipan Cable Car Station. Embark on a breathtaking 15-minute ride through clouds and mountains, viewing lush valleys and peaks from above.
At the summit (3,143 meters), stand at the roof of Indochina and feel the grandeur of nature. Explore the spiritual complex including ancient pagodas and giant Buddha statues resting in the clouds.
After descending, enjoy lunch and then transfer back to Hanoi. Arrive in the evening and check in to your hotel for rest.
Day 4: Halong Bay Day Cruise with Seafood Lunch
Depart early for Halong Bay – a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its emerald waters and thousands of limestone islands rising dramatically from the sea.
Upon arrival, board a traditional wooden cruise for a four-hour journey across the bay.
- Cruise past iconic formations such as Stone Dog Islet and Fighting Cocks Islet.
- Visit Thien Cung Cave (Heavenly Palace Cave), a spectacular cavern with colorful stalactites and stalagmites.
- Optional: Try kayaking or bamboo boat rowing through hidden lagoons and caves.
Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch on board while admiring the panoramic seascape.
Return to Hanoi in the late afternoon. Dinner at your leisure and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5: Local Shopping – Departure
After breakfast, enjoy some free time to shop for souvenirs and local specialties. Popular options include:
- Handcrafted silk and embroidered products
- Vietnamese green tea and lotus-scented tea
- Traditional snacks like young green rice (cốm), candied fruits, and roasted cashews
- Lacquerware, ceramics, and Ao Dai (traditional Vietnamese dress)
